These adjustment mechanisms are used to control the seat and backrest position of your office chair. Most of the office chairs we supply can ordered with either one of these mechanisms.
However, each one is quite different. The best one for you will depend on how you like to sit, and the type of work you do.
If you want a chair that keeps up with your body’s movements, without have to manually reconfigure all the settings, then a synchro-tilt chair is the ideal choice....
It offers dynamic movement that adapts to your posture, providing continuous support whether you’re sitting upright for focused work or leaning back for a more relaxed position.
A synchro-tilt mechanism is designed to provide a more ergonomic and supportive seating experience. As you recline, the seat and backrest move in harmony, with the backrest tilting twice as much as the seat.
If you are looking for a chair that prioritizes fine-tuned control and customization over your static sitting posture, the multi-tilt mechanism is the perfect choice....
A Multi-Tilt mechanism is also known as an asynchronous tilt. Unlike synchro-tilt mechanisms, the backrest and seat pan move independently from one another. This lets you fine-tune the seat and back angles separately to achieve the ideal posture and makes it possible to find the optimal static sitting position that best suits your needs.
It is not intended for dynamic movement. Making any adjustments to the seat or backrest angles will require reconfiguring the settings, which may not be convenient for those who wish to frequently move around or switch between sitting positions throughout the day.
