Assembly

This Chair Ships Partially Assembled.

But don't worry, it's simple, quick and easy to put together.

For commercial orders, this chairs ship "knocked down" in one box. This means that the major components like the seat, back, arms and wheelbase are pre-assembled....you just have to fit them all together. Shipping the chair "knocked down" lets us use a smaller box, which reduces our freight costs so that we can ship this chair to you for free. Yay!

It's a minor assembly job at your end. All you'll need is a screwdriver and maybe one or two allen keys (the allan keys would be provided).

Available Chair Mechanisms

Multi-Tilt / 24 Hour Multi-Tilt / Plus Size Multi-Tilt

  • Infinite-lock free-float: locks your chair tilt in any position and free floats when unlocked so you can tilt the chair without touching the levers. This lets the chair "move with you."
  • Adjustable Spring Tension: sets the tension of the tilt when in free float mode so that the chair remains stable when you're sitting up, but still lets you lean back when you want to.
  • Independent Back and Seat Angle Adjustment: Lets you dial-in the perfect fit for a static sitting position.
  • Infinite forward-tilt lock out: Allows the seat-pan to tilt forward and lets you set it at a comfortable position to create a more natural curvature of your spine.
  • Seat Slider: Lets you adjust the depth of the seat (up to 2.5" forwards/back) so that it supports the full length of your thighs. Make sure to leave about 2" of room between the back of your legs and the front of the seat.

Synchro-Glide:

  • Seat-tilt lock out

  • 2:1 tilt ration.

The ergoCentric Synchro-Glide mechanism is just about the same as their multi-tilt mechanism. However, when in free float mode the back rest tilts twice as much as the seat-pan. Scroll down to the "chair mechanism info" tab below for a more detailed description.

Wheelbase:
  • 26" glass-reinforced nylon with 5 casters.
  • 27" Hercules glass-reinforced nylon base with 5 casters, on plus size version.
  • Optional upgrade to a 26" polished aluminum wheelbase to increased durability, scuff resistance and an overall more executive look and feel. This upgrade is not available for the "Plus Size Multi-Tilt" or "24 Hour Multi-Tilt" versions of the ergoForce chair.
